Lighthouse Labs and the Government of Canada in partnership with post-secondary, community, and industry partners have come together to provide an opportunity for 1,700 Canadians to shape a better future for themselves and their families — at no cost.
Based on these criteria, you may be eligible to attend a retraining program to learn in-demand digital skills, and benefit from a series of essential skills-development workshops and events with employers to help you navigate the job market, and even support services to jump start your journey.
Labour shortages have given rise to massive opportunities across the Canadian tech sector. From Clean Technology to Information and Communications Technology, Life Science and Interactive Media — the need for workers with digital skills only continues to grow. Simply put, there’s never been a better time to change careers, and break into the tech industry.
Intensive retraining programs are essential to bridge this tech talent gap.
We are working with the Government of Canada on a brand new, fully funded initiative that aims to support the training, workforce entry, and job retention of new diverse generations of tech talent.

We are also partnering with over 30 community partners across Canada who share our mission of removing barriers for a more equitable economy and society. The success of ICT Boost would not be possible without their networks and expertise.
Community and industry partners will also assist in providing even more wraparound services. Designed to reduce barriers to access, these services ensure students can fully engage and thrive throughout the program and their career transition.

Starting a new job or a new career can be intimidating. At Lighthouse Labs, we have the expertise and resources to help you succeed and flourish as entry-level talent, and exceed your employer’s expectations of you. With our Post-Program Support Services, you can remove some of your first day jitters knowing that you’ll be supported, guided, and mentored through your first 3 months of onboarding.
We are dedicated to making these critical few months as smooth as possible by offering our grads essential and technical skill development beyond the bootcamp and into their first job. So you can focus on building the career of your dreams doing your best work and continuining to grow with every project.
Currently reside in Canada
Be a Canadian Citizen, Permanent Resident or a person who has been granted refugee status in Canada
Be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial and federal legislation and regulations
Have a high school diploma or equivalent
Be at least 18 years old
Have language proficiency of Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) Level 6 or higher
Successfully pass the training program admission tests and interview
Self-identify as a member of at least one of the following groups:
Women
Indigenous Peoples
Black Canadians
Other racialized Canadians or visible minorities
2SLGBTQI+ community
Persons with disabilities
